Classic! Read there is a remake underway. Whoever the director, they're going to have a tough time competing with Tim Burton's choice of design and look such as this.
I love Lydia's style! Is it weird that I always wanted that red wedding dress? It's so flamboyant and over the top! That lace choker is pretty slick too. That could actually be made easily and worn casually!
Do you know 80s actress Rainbow Harvest? She effectively copied Lydia's style in the DTV horror-flick "Mirror Mirror" https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rainbow-Harvest/373865834706?sk=wall
Well, if you ever decide to do Lydia bangs again, make sure you post some photos. :)
Hi VainGlorySinner,
Oh, and same for you, if you ever find the perfect Lydia hat, please post some photos of it!!
Hi Mark,
I read that Tim Burton is toying with the notion of making a sequel to 'Beetlejuice', starring Michael Keaton, and written by Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter'.
Hi Justine,
I think Lydia is a total style icon too, and you're no weirder than me because I always thought her red wedding dress was so cool! :) The lace choker is really cute, and you're right, it's probably quite a doable creative project. In fact, you've totally inspired me!
Hi Maynard,
I see what you mean! Yes, she certainly is a Lydia look-a-like. Thanks for the link!
Hi Zena,
Haha. Yes, I completely relate to that quote as well!!
!!!! *nosebleed* her style is awesome. I always love a splendid dark outfitted character (if that even makes sense lol).which come to think of it maybe you should take pics of dark finds you find near your home.
Thank you! I'll be over to check out your blog shortly.
Hi Miss Bobo,
Haha. Yep, Lydia is totally nosebleed-worthy in the style department! If I stumble across any delightfully dark style closer to home, I'll be sure to snap away.
I love Beetlejuice! It's been one of my favorite movies since I was a child, and Lydia inspires me! Oh, and I love your blog! You like the same things I do, including H.P. Lovecraft(which goth wouldn't like it haha). <3 I made a new blog, would you check out? <3 http://gloomycrowgirl.blogspot.com/
Haha! I use to do my bangs like that! If I had bangs now, I'd do it again for old times sake.
ReplyDeleteI have been on the look out for a Lydia Deetz wide rimmed hat for a while! x
