Skulls, Glorious Skulls!

Who doesn't love skulls? I know I do, and so does my friend, Jacinta, a talented Australian interior designer who has started selling skulls in her online shop, Hookd.

Mod Skull
When I think of colourful skulls, the first thing that pops into my head are the beautiful, decorated skulls of the Dia de los Muertos festivites. The hand-painted, polyresin Mod Skull is a fun alternative to the Day of the Dead skulls whilst still embracing the element of bold colour in a skull ornament.

Glass Skull Vessel

Hookd also sells a clear Glass Skull Vessel that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also practical, holding all manner of things like flowers, herbs, pencils or keys.

You can never have too many skulls!

The children see through the Santa ruse.

When a nasty neighbour tells the children that Santa does not exist, in the episode "Christmas with the Addams Family" on The Addams Family television show (1964 - 1966), the family sets out to restore Wednesday and Pugsley's faith in all things supernatural. Things go awry, however, when all of the adults, unbeknownst to each other, don the Santa suit.

Creepmas Interruptus

Unfortunately, my Creepmas festivities have been temporarily interrupted by a loss of internet, for the last 4 days, caused by some kind of hacking attempt on the server of my internet service provider. Now that my internet is restored, I will be playing Creepmas catch-up, and responding to the comments that I haven't been able to get to before now. I'm very glad to be back in Blogland!

A Very Addams Creepmas: Day 6

The children tend to the fireplace, ensuring a toasty trip down the chimney for Santa.

In the episode "Christmas with the Addams Family", on The Addams Family  television show (1964 - 1966), Uncle Fester's attempts to play Santa for the children go awry when he becomes stuck in the chimney. Meanwhile, Wednesday and Pugsley thoughtfully maintain a roaring fire beneath him.

A Very Addams Creepmas: Day 1

"Suddenly, I have a dreadful urge to be merry."

The 13 Days of Creepmas is a lighthearted blog initiative designed to inject a little spooky good cheer into the "Hallowdays". For my part, I've decided to be shamelessly self-indulgent this Creepmas and devote the entire 13 days to my beloved Addams Family and their creator, Charles "Chas" Addams.
