One of my favourite *ever* quotes - just saying it gives me shivers! Just finished re-reading 'Something Wicked this Way Comes' by Ray Bradbury, phew, what a scary read. Excellent! x
I know just what you mean. That quote is so evocative! And believe it or not, I just finished reading Ray Bradbury's, 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' too. I agree, absolutely excellent, and it was my inspiration for posting the original Shakespearian quote. :)
'Something Wicked This Way Comes' is a fabulous book, Laury! Ray Bradbury perfectly captures the atmosphere of creepy carnival sideshows, and there is a real sense of foreboding and moments of terror in the story. I definitely recommend it!
Haha. I hope not occhio sulle espressioni! The witches from 'Macbeth' are described as, "secret, black, and midnight hags". I'm fine with "secret", "black", and "midnight", but I can do without the "hag" part! ;)
Yes, I studied 'Macbeth' in High School. We also had to do 'Othello', but I preferred 'Macbeth'. Gotta love a play that opens with three wicked witches! ;)
HEY! My thumb is not pricked!
ReplyDeleteThat's because you're not the witch, you're the wicKED something that this way comes! ;)
Deletenice blog! ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Octapolis. :)
