It's the Equinox, and in Australia it's autumn, so even though Halloween may still be many months away, it's hardly surprising that a little cat's thoughts might turn to pondering possible costume choices.
As always, Phoebe put the supermodels to shame during her photo session, but as you can see, by the end of it she was pretty tuckered out.
Her cute, tiny witch's hat is from lostsentiments on Etsy.
Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteSo cute! I want a kitten so bad.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny! I hope you get a kitty one day! They're awesome furry companions!!
DeleteHAHA awesome, what a cute little kitty you have there! Phoebe fits her perfectly! You can see my kitty's Roxas and Dracula over on my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Halloweenman666,
DeleteThanks! I just dropped over to your blog, and Roxas and Dracula are ADORABLE!
oh you didn't!?!? :) Thank you so much for sharing your kitty pics donning my hat :) Bless you my sweet! :) I'm humbled! *blush* Looks positively purrrfffect on Phoebe, what a sophisticated darling :).
ReplyDeleteHi lostsentiments,
DeleteMy pleasure! Phoebe just looked so cute with your sweet little witch hat on her head, that a blog post was utterly inevitable! :)
I knew you'd adore them! I might have to put up some recent pics of them on the blog, or you can see them on my facebook profile. We really need to see more costumes on Phoebe this season as well! Oh and Lostsentiments if you see this, fantastic job on the hat!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, absolutely, you've got to put up more pictures of Roxas and Dracula! Those two little guys are too completely charming to keep hidden! I'll have to check out your Facebook page as well!
DeleteYes, I'm beginning to think Phoebe's Halloween costumes could become a bit of a series. She certainly enjoyed all the attention as she was being photographed! :)
Thanks Halloweenman666 :) I appreciate it! ^-^

Deletemany blessings...I follow you on face book too...always interesting posts...♥
Yes, I've figured out who you are now. ;) Just took me a while to put two and two together! Haha. Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'll see you on Facebook!
DeleteAww! This is the best thing I've seen all day! Such a cute cat.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Theri! That's such a nice thing to say! :)
DeleteYour kitty is so adorable :D
ReplyDeleteHi Alexandriaweb,
DeleteThank you! She's very cute, and for such a tiny little cat, she's got a very big personality! :)
Phoebe is *fabulous*! Love her little witch-kitty-hat, must get one for my Lucy! ~Siobhan
ReplyDeleteThanks, Siobhan! That hat is a perfect fit for cats because the brim sits nicely between their ears. Phoebe was quite at ease with it sitting on her head, plus she was enjoying all the attention! Haha.
DeleteYour cat makes an adorable little witch! I took a look at that Etsy shop and found a cute little Chewbacca there:

Hi Justine,
DeleteThanks! :) I think when it comes to picking a Halloween costume for a cat, a witch is a pretty appropriate choice, what with their history of being familiars. Little Phoebe certainly seemed very comfortable in her witch's hat. ;)
That Chewbacca is so adorable!
that is just adorable. now if only my cat was nice enough to wear a hat...
ReplyDeleteHi Pensive,
DeleteThanks! So, I take it your kitty has no patience for the modelling world?! Haha. I think cats in the broad Siamese family (Phoebe is a Tonkinese) are generally more willing to put up with these sort of shenanigans. My Burmese, Sabrina (sadly, no longer with us), was even more patient than Phoebe when it came to tolerating these little humiliations. ;)
Oh, what a precious and good sport that kitty is. Okay, now I'm in the Halloween mood...
ReplyDeleteHi Autumn,
DeleteYes, she's a very good sport! See purred all the way through her photo shoot! Phoebe enjoys being fussed over. :) I've well and truly got my brain in Halloween mode right now! Glad I'm not the only one!
How adorable! What a sweetie she is... Astrid would love to join in the kitty modeling lol. She is always up for dress-up. Cute
ReplyDeleteThanks, Britnie! Oh, yes! We've got to see some of Astrid's dress-up adventures too! Haha. I'm inspired to make this a regular thing now!
DeleteAw. How cute. I can see she's thinking about it too!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorelei,
DeleteThank you! Haha. Yes, I'm sure she's thinking that this modelling lark is much harder than it's cracked up to be!
Check out my blog; I nominated you for an award: http://gothicprofessor.blogspot.com/2012/03/dark-sunshine-award.html
ReplyDeleteHi Le Professeur Gothique,
DeleteThank you so much! I'll pop over to your blog and check it out! :)
phoebe, is really rocking that witch hat! she looks great! she looks very comfortable and not at all annoyed. i have tried putting hats on mine for fun ,well, they do not like at all! has a cat ever given that look that says "what the hell do you think you are doing to me?" yeah, that killer look!
ReplyDeleteHi Delmy,
DeleteHaha. Yes, I know that look, although Phoebe just happens to be very easy-going. She gets handled so much that she's used to it, and actually, I think she quite enjoys being fussed over.
I have an blog award for you! http://luurankojakaapissa.blogspot.com/2012/03/dark-sunshine-award.html
ReplyDeleteHi Leena,
DeleteThank you so much! I will head on over to your blog to read your post! :)
hats on cats. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lady Bethezda,
DeleteHa. Yeah, very Dr Seuss, now that I think about it! Haha.
What a sweet kitty! And that hats a purrfect fit!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Knock Knock Street! :)
DeleteShe's soo cute in the little witch hat! :)
ReplyDeleteHi linnea-maria,
DeleteThank you! :)
Well that is one good looking kitty.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of you, I wish it was autumn here. Stupid England with its looming summer. Fancy swapping? Lol
Hi Cherry,
DeleteIt's good to see you around the blogosphere again! Thanks! Phoebe's definitely queen of the household, that's for sure! Haha.
Oh, I thought you might be ready for a bit of sunshine after the winter, but sounds like you're a hardcore autumn person! I have to admit, I do love autumn. Our summers tend to get way too hot, whereas the autumn temperatures are often just perfect. Don't worry, autumn will be there before you know it... and then it's Halloween! :)
That kitty doesn't look very happy to me.
ReplyDeleteReally? Oh well, don't worry, she was perfectly happy. In fact, she kept trying to get me to rub the top of her head with the brim of the hat. I guess cats just don't have the same grinning faces that dogs have, but she was purring contentedly the whole time.
