Yeah, it was my first Stephen King book too, and it's still my all-time Stephen King favourite! In fact, I'm going to watch 'Salem's Lot' tonight! The quote has totally put me in the mood to see it again. :)
Oh yes, you've got to see 'Salem's Lot'! It's super-creepy! One of my all-time favourite creepy films, in fact. The head vampire, Mr Barlow/The Master, has a look which is clearly inspired by Nosferatu. He's ghastly!
Sounds like you may not have seen 'Salem's Lot' either?! It's very 1979, but its creep-factor hasn't diminished over the years. I'd definitely recommend watching it, if you get the chance.
Love it! =D
ReplyDeleteHi Annie,
ReplyDeleteHaha. I can hear James Mason's fabulously creepy voice in my head whenever I think of this quote!
LOL! That's funny, I did too. Although, it's one of my favorite Stephen King books. Actually, it was my first Stephen King read ever. Got me hooked.

DeleteI want to watch it too! Also, I'll have to reread it this year. ;D
DeleteHa! I've just bought the book from Amazon! The last time I read it, I borrowed my Dad's copy. It's about time I had one of my own. Haha.
DeleteI love these quotes <3

That little boy tapping on the window is still one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHi Will,
DeleteI completely agree! The scenes with little Ralphie Glick scratching at the glass are horror classics!
Love it! The hubby's got a super realistic Mr Barlow tattooed on his forearm. Scary :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lady Bethezda,
DeleteI remember you saying your husband had a Mr Barlow tattoo. I'd love to see it! I hope you'll post a picture of it some time!
Love Salem's Lot :)
