On the Ninth Day of Creepmas, Great Pumpkin gave to me...

A Little Yuletide Witchery

As we're on the eve of the Witches' Yuletide Ball, I thought it was a good time to introduce a little vintage witchery into the Creepmas festivities.

These digital images of Yuletide witches are suitable for craft, altered art, and collage, and are available from Etsy shop, Penniwigs.

  1. i think witches got a bad unfair rap for being witches... most were harmless hippies.

  5. Hi iZombie,

Yeah, the poor old witches! They've never had it easy!

    Hi Autumn,

Yes, I love Victorian imagery as well. It has so much charm!

    Hi Adsila,

I'm trying to set the witchy mood. It will be witch-a-rama tomorrow with The Witches' Yuletide Ball!

    Hi Matt,

Thanks! They do have a great aura, don't they?!

    Hi Justine,

Yes, the Victorian vintage images are always so adorable. I like the creases and kinks in the hat you picked. It has great character! I wonder if you can buy hats like that? I really like the idea of a witches version of a Santa hat.

  6. Love the fourth one, victorian artists really knew how to capture the beauty of women.

  7. Hi art bliss,

Yes, I have to admit I favour the idealized aesthetics of the Victorians, to the modern thirst for in your face "reality".
