Ah - too funny! Made me laugh this Saturday mornning over my coffee! Excellent. ~Siobhan
Hi Siobhan,I'm so glad it gave you a Saturday morning chuckle! I always find the antics of Monty Burns and Smithers wickedly funny!
Haha! Love the Simpsons :) Burns and Smithers are such a great pairing.
Oh, that's one of my favorites! That's where I picked up saying "I like the cut of his jib." :) Simpson's Halloween Specials are also responsible for me saying "I feel a might peckish" and "To the book depository!" Although, I only say that last one on the way to the library. I'm sure you're quoting these old shows in everyday life too!
Hi TriGirl,I know! Burns and Smithers are such a funny duo. 'The Simpsons' is full of great lines, but I think Burns and Smithers deliver the driest and most hilarious of the show.Hi Justine,Ha! Oh yeah, it's quote-a-rama ALL the time here!! 'The Simpsons' is a treasure trove of funny lines and references, but if I had to think about it, the ones that have been used around our place the most are from the softball episode 'Homer at the Bat'. They involve the Hypnotist. Every time, without fail, that Danny hears the expression "one hundred and ten percent", he says:"That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give..."The other one that gets used a lot is:"But I did a good job. A gooooood job!"
The Simpson's are classic. We love them too!
I remember this episode! I was a little kid, and I must say I was a little scary ha ha :D
Hi Annie,A classic indeed! It's kind of terrifying to think how long that show has actually been on air. No wonder there's an endless supply of hilarious material to quote.Hi Judka,That's funny because Marge always gave a warning at the beginning of the 'Treehouse of Horror' episodes, about the show being too scary for small children. I guess it really was too scary for small children!
