Delightfully Dark Art: Mademoiselle G

Booh Halloween Card Set by Genevieve Marquis

I discovered this lovely set of Halloween greeting cards in the Etsy shop, Mademoiselle G. They are the work of illustrator and doll artist, Genevieve Marquis, and they could either be sent to a Halloween-loving friend or framed.

  1. These are really nice cards! It is amazing the things you can find on etsy. The people there are brilliant. My son found a hand crochetted Cthulhu Ski mask there this week. It has made his month.

  3. I really like the minimalist old time Halloween feel to the cards. I agree these would look great framed I would hate to part with them.

  4. Hi Jessica,

I saw a hand crocheted skull mask on Etsy the other day. It was amazing. I wonder if it was made by the same person who made the Cthulhu mask?!

    Hi Vivienne,

I'd probably frame them, too! They're little works of art!

    Hi Slowdeath,

Yes, it's the vintage look that appeals to me, as well. I love the sepia colouring and the simplicity. I can imagine these hanging on the wall of an old Victorian Gothic house. I've got the cards sorted... now if I could only just get my hands on the house! Haha!

  6. Hi Adsila,

Her artwork and dolls are gorgeous! I keep forgetting that you're on Etsy - too distracted by your ghost hunting adventures! I'm off to circle you!

  7. Hi Dr Blood,

No, but a cat would have been great! She does have a "chat" art doll in her shop though!

  8. I love these cards! I wouldn't want to give them to anyone. I would keep them for myself. ;-)

  9. Hi Theri,

Yeah, I'd want to keep them, too!! Does that mean we have good taste, or we're bad friends? Haha!

  10. Man, these cards look great. The thing is...Halloween isn't really big in the Netherlands :( We ALMOST don't celebrate it here. It's starting to get there though. I'd love to dress up as Dexter Morgan this year...and hand out these cards ;)

  11. Hi Johnny,

Don't worry! I'm in Australia and it's not that big here either! All the more reason to keep that Halloween flame burning in our respective countries, don't you think?!!

Thank you very much for featuring these!

  13. Hi Mademoiselle G,

My pleasure! Your cards are absolutely beautiful, and I think it's wonderful that those of us outside of the US are creating "little Halloweens" all over the world!!
