Delightfully Dark Art: Gothicrow

Gothicrow

One of my all-time favourite shops on Etsy is Gothicrow. Not only does photographer Donna produce the most beautiful gothic images but she is also such a lovely lady and passionate about animal welfare.

  1. Wow! Okay, I'm in love! I've spent decades photographing graveyards and creepy statues and I could never get that feel. Wow!

  4. Hi Lisa,

There's something sort of mystical about about crows that I really like. They're so sleek, black and regal... plus, they are extremely intelligent birds.

  5. It's not as though I have a phobia of them or anything, I don't deny their beauty or graace, yet if one comes near me I will try to avoid it,their eyes have too much depyh in them it's almost as though the are human shaftshifters, hence the film the crowe subliminly proberly put that in my mind. great film.

  6. Oh yes, I know they can be quite sinister, too! Haha! And the scene from "The Birds", when they all gather on the children's play equipment, is very creepy!

  7. I watched that film "The Birds" as a child, so it proberly would not freak me out now with retrospect as me and my sister recently watched the remake or "An Nightmare on Elme" and sat down ready to be petrified as we were as children but ended up finding it hilarious.

  8. That's true! Sometimes you go back and watch a film, and you can't believe that it used to scare you. I guess we're all getting desensitized over time.
